Painted floor cloths, rugs or runners in the top floors in North America. The style in the 14th Century in France, where originally painted fabrics were used as wall hangings and table covers. In the 18th Century floor cloths were brought to North America by the British. Until the invention of linoleum, floor cloths were for the poor, the very rich popular.

Today, floor cloths are usually as art. They are a decorative and creative art form that most often associated with arts and crafts connected. Whether you are there on the floor or display on the wall and a piece of art or collage, floor mats are very sturdy and durable. They are easy to clean, do just wipe with a sponge or a simple soap and water mixture it too.

In the past, people were determined terribly corrosive fumes from paints and varnishes to inhale. These corrosive substances are to achieve the only way to longevity. Today it is different. It is no longer necessary to have oil-based products, Water-soluble paints are fast drying, cleaning and ease of use, and just as durable.
