What tools to have a book of shadows?
I ordered a custom made Book of Shadows witchesmoon.net through and it is beautiful! I calligraphy pens and ink to write the text. But I wonder what I use for illustrations. I do not want to use colored pencils, I do not believe it will look very pretty. I know nothing at all about art enough supplies. Is there a type of colored pencil or something that can be used to create the look I am after. I am including a link to the image that has everything you want to capture. In fact just use a regular pen and a magazine bought at Barnes and lots of other witches Noble.A only use three ring binders in his Book of Shadows. Even though it is nice to have your BOS be attractive to the eye, which is not as important as it really is written in it.When I started to practice witchcraft, I like you wanted to have my BOS looking.I be old and authentic handwriting was quite good, so I used to do all my posts as such.However eventually became a nuisance to get the feathers out and keep writing and looking as elegant as when I started and I just switched over Regualr pen. I'm not sure what you mean by BOS though.I understand illustrations that are personal to the person and can put whatever you want there, but very seldom heard to people who actually leaving out the pages and to illustrate on.I things are drawn in my BOS tell how I feel about certain things and such, but usually just use a sharp pencil, flare it or use the pen and ink or colored pencil. If you want a colored pencil to go well with Prisma pencils, which are what we use in my art class, and work very well if you are looking for something simple. However, since the books are going to seem more old book, I would say something like watercolors, charcoal, pastel, including oil. Good luck.
